You need to load a new setup file since several setup options changed.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

Prior to my receiving a "CHECKSUM FAILED", I downloaded each newly generated file directly from the ALP Update website. (See my post above from 9:02 PM this evening) The Configuration file, with Profiles A/B/C, was also newly generated directly from the ALP website.

My systems do NOT have the new Net radar antenna. All components of both ALP systems are exactly the same as they were for the last three or four Control Box updates.

winterbrew.....did you also download ALL of your files directly from the ALP Update website? Or did you download only the new ALP Control Box firmware 5.2.5/6.8 file? Its interesting that we both had the same verbal warning, that I have never heard before.

I was going to ask if this would be necessary for those without the Net Radar. Guess it is. I'll generate a new config.alp when I download the new firmware hopefully today.

I suggest if a new firmware requires creating a new configuration, that it's mentioned in the post announcing/describing the new firmware.

Everyone will need to load a new settings file after this update. If you are only running Laser you can use the factory defaults which would be Laser Defense with a LID Setting of 4 Seconds.
