ok now when i go in to change the volume the LED changes to red/blue and stays lit. I now have no volume number it just says volume weather i press it up or down and if i hit the buttons like you stated to do, it will either go in to muted or fog lights.. To get the volume menu to come up i have to press both of the buttons just the right way and then hit the power button again to get the volume option to come up

I have gone back and reloaded the entire software including the up date voice packs etc etc.. still nothing...

When you press both buttons and hold them you do not get the PINK LED? Once the LED turns pink the Power button = Lower and the Menu Button = Higher. Try again. I just tested and it works fine with the new firmware.
