    Hello.

Hi, I just registered here after lurking a bit and buying an ALP system from Tom, and hope to gain the insight of those who have more CM experience under their belt then I have. My commute is mainly surface streets in Seattle and have been driving off and on with an old Escort radar detector (mostly off) for many years. Unfortunately, I've been pulled over too many times to count but fortunately seem to have acquired a knack to talk my way out of receiving citations. I'm at the point where I don't feel like pushing my luck any further.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here and hope to learn and eventually contribute to the forum.

Welcome. You got the best in parking sensors. You might want to modernize your RD if you're running something old. I'm certain Vortex can give you some good tips for your area. Glad you joined.

    Thanks guys.

My old detector is/was an Escort 8500 with S7 horn. I just sold it and have a Max arriving tomorrow. Hopefully it's one of the good ones I just sent a V1 back after trying it for a week and it was just a little too chatty for my general commute. I had planned on using YaV1 with it but ultimately decided I didn't want to have my cellphone tethered to it all the time to keep it quiet. Loved the arrows and the build quality, though.

I'm going to post up a head placement thread with some photos of my car. Hopefully the ALP experts here can give me advice.

How many heads does your ALP have? Single, dual, tri, quad or five?

I purchased a two-head system and plan to mount them just on the front... for now.

    Started a new help-me-mount-my-ALP-heads thread here: http://radarandlaserforum.com/showth...-hatch?p=13644

    All suggestions greatly appreciated.
