Maybe this was explained on another post, but what are the tones on the gun? The click, click, vs steady tone? Is the gun being triggered full time in the video, or just some of the time?
    Go ahead, make my day.

    From the DragonEye Compact Manual:

"You may hear an intermittent audible tone as the LIDAR searches for a valid target signal. You will also see “----“displayed in the HUD indicating the laser is firing and a reading is being acquired. Once target vehicle data is identified, the LIDAR will produce a continuous
lower frequency tone. When the data from the vehicle reaches an acceptable accuracy level, audible tone will switch to a continuous, higher frequency and the vehicle speed reading will be displayed in the HUD and on the side panel.
Note: At typical distances the above acquisition sequence can happen very quickly and you may simply hear the high frequency tone and see the speed display immediately."

Basically the short tones are the gun searching for a signal. The long tones indicate that it believes it has found an acceptable signal and is trying to process for accuracy. In the case of the ALP, I believe this to be part of the algorithm they use as you will here it appear to
lock on and then start searching again. I suspect this is part of why you don't see jam codes until you are at close distance.

I was THE original purchaser from Tom OF THE quints and it's been tested time and again and early on. All of the above just confirms my most excellent decision to get the ALP. One suggestion is to keep this under our respective hosts at this point as there is MORE to come.
