as others have said, 2 front and 2 rear.
i would say that if you can't afford 2 rear, one will suffice for most money grabbing leaches and you can install the second one later. The problem with this is it is much harder to run the wires to the rear of the car or further cost if getting someone else to install.

take radarrob's advice above and get a member to help you, especially with testing your setup.
