Interesting that you tell the antenna needs to be high up.
I read other oppinions on a local forum, but there it is also unclear what the best position is.

I believe the reason some ppl prefer the antenna to be high, like at top of WS [Windshield], is b/c they believe if it is mounted low or in the grille, the metal body of the car in Front of you could block the radar signal if it is mounted low.

Both of my RD's are mounted at the top of my WS,one on Driver's side,the other on Passenger side.
