I currently have the latest V1 detector that plugs in to the Gen 2 ALP R/G module, w GPS antenna attached to that as well.....ALP Connect works and gets radar alerts from the V1, but was hoping to get more of the YaV1 features, so the ALP and the V1 w YaV1 all work together as one system....any suggestions?
If this hasn't been tested yet, I could test this on the weekend if you tell me exactly which functions of YaV1 you want to know work.

I never got around to setting up YaV1 but I have the ALP bluetooth, ALP HiFi, ALP RG v2 w/ STiR+ and GPS, as well as a V1 w/ bluetooth and concealed display.

So I ordered the V1 Connect BT android adapter for the V1 and wasn't able to run it simultaneously with the V1 connected to the ALP RGv2 module, tried using an RJ11 splitter....so maybe there could be another way?

At present, I have my custom sweeps working with the V1 connected to the ALP RGv2 (Note that ALP V1 radar setup setup must be set to Euro Mode for this to work).

Ideally, I'd like to be able to use YaV1's alert logging and integrated google maps lockout functions simultaneously with my V1 plugged into the ALP RGv2 unit. To get that functionality now, I'm guessing I will need to run the ALP and the V1 separately.....

Any thoughts or ideas on how to achieve this would be appreciated.

Hey BRD, I'm pretty sure you can't currently (unless I'm mistaken). Is there any plans to exclude KA band alerts when using the GPS muted below set speed threshold?

Filtering is all bands or nothing at this point.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

I would also like to see a manual GPS lockout...I don't think that violates an Escort patent as Valentine One and Stinger systems allow you to do it...as long as it is not an automatically filtered mute. Any idea on when the display will be released? If not soon (next couple months), I might have to save a little longer and bite the bullet on the Stinger. The display is very important to me! The bluetooth module is too hoaky IMO...requires opening the app, making sure second phone is plugged into power, placement of the phone, and I don't feel very comfortable with wireless for a situation like this. Thanks much!

GPS Lockouts does violate a Fleming Patent, and Escort was sued over 1.5M for offering it. V1 also does not offer lockouts. A separate display is not on the priority list and is not coming this year and I have been very open about this. If you want the best Laser system then get the ALP if you care more about radar get a Stinger. I use BT and not sure what your complaints are but it works perfect for me and I leave the app in the background and it auto connects when I start the car and disconnects when I leave it. Not sure how easier we could make it,

V1 does actually...take a look at this tutorial video...I am no expert but it looks like GPS lockouts to me..or at least a GPS auto mute function. The Stinger does as well.

But regardless...you are right. It is just a laser detector at the end of the day and you have incredible advancements in integrating the two units. It is the best laser jammer based on tests. I just think from a business sense you have a very real chance of competing with the current Stinger at $3000 dollars less than their offerings. By adding a simple screen and figuring out a workaround to GPS lockouts like what I feel is portrayed in the video below / what Stinger has done would allow you to dominate the market. Nothing wrong or complaints about the bluetooth app...just would prefer an integrated visual solution that is hardwired directly to the unit. Peace of mind and overall quality fit and finish. Some people don't like an eBay iPhone 4 dangling from their ac vent, having to hardwire a second power connection, ect...I would rather custom install a small proprietary, integrated, hard-connected screen into my interior layout. I have a very high quality interior and the less clutter hanging around off of a vent, windshield, ect, the better. Not a priority but as a potential paying customer...for me it is. Just saying. Thank you for the response.

YaV1 is a individual user creation, created from an individual user that developed it out of the US, This is not a V1 supported app and its certainly not a V1 product or anything supported on the manufactures website. I would bet that there are maybe 100 users worldwide using this app, There is no benefit for any patent holder to go after an individual but if AntiLaser or another large company violated someone's patents you can be sure they would come after them. If AntiLaser was a radar company it might make sense to try to license the technology but its not AL's business. This is not to say that they will not team up with other radar companies in the future who already license these features like the new Radenso Pro and integrate other products and offer more features in the future.

The Display has been pushed back several times because protection always comes first. Last year and this year there have been MANY gun changes and AntiLaser drops everything that they are working on when a gun change is noted and they will get the updates to the market faster than anyone. The gun manufactures are now competing hard against each other which has forced lower prices and forced them to offer more anti jammer features to keep up with each other. Years ago Lidar guns had gone for thousands more then they sell today and enforcement can pay under $2k for guns that can tear up older jammers. Laser Protection and coming to the market with the fastest updates is the priority and will always be the priority. A display is not on the roadmap until next year sometime if there are not any new major threats to push it back again.

Completely understand. Had no clue that was an individual app. I am sold - I will get the quad setup and will debate the STIR integration w/bluetooth app or a full STIR unit. Threats are always more important. Thank you!

I was looking at Stinger too especially because of the display. But after reviews and cost, decided against it. The Stinger display is great, but then the question is - where do you put it. There really is not an optimal place on my car to place the display or to run wires. The ALP control set is small, unobtrusive and I have it tucked away ins the ash tray compartment, out of sight when I park the car. As for BT, I don't have it, but it is easy to just take the phone with you when you park. Sometimes simple is better. My 2 cents.
