Hey BRD, I'm pretty sure you can't currently (unless I'm mistaken). Is there any plans to exclude KA band alerts when using the GPS muted below set speed threshold?

Filtering is all bands or nothing at this point.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

I was looking at Stinger too especially because of the display. But after reviews and cost, decided against it. The Stinger display is great, but then the question is - where do you put it. There really is not an optimal place on my car to place the display or to run wires. The ALP control set is small, unobtrusive and I have it tucked away ins the ash tray compartment, out of sight when I park the car. As for BT, I don't have it, but it is easy to just take the phone with you when you park. Sometimes simple is better. My 2 cents.

Excellent point. It is just how I am...I like having a hardwired system and a small display that is specifically built for the system. I just cannot justify the cost of the Stinger though...plus ALP is better in the laser department. Thanks for the advice.

Beltronics STIR plus full system versus ALP with STIR antenna...falses

I am still stuck between buying the full version of the STIR plus or the ALP quad setup with STIR antenna. Ive had the full before but I really like the simplicity and price advantage to getting the STIR and ALP integrated setup. My only issue...false alerts. How bad is it? Is it manageable like the Stinger system or is it more like a Redline / Valentine One? I can always segment the bands, add the GPS speed cutoff, etc. but with all that...not sure really what to expect. Thanks!

I considered the STiR + antenna only version but in the end went with full version and a BT module. Love the BT module. I don't need to mount any displays since I don't have a need to look at it. The phone is in my pocket. The controller is wired to a switched power source. The ALP app is running in the background and connects automatically. if I get hit, I can check the recorded info when I get home.

ALG with the STIR+ integration, is it still immune to the VG-2 radar detector detector?

I drive I95 in Virginia. I have never been pulled over for having it. I was pulled over when I had the top unit from Cobra. I use the escort redline the wife's car and that also works well
