I think what he meant was can he use just the alp bluetooth module and stir plus head with nothing else. Therefore you're basically getting the stir plus awesome detection for around 500 bux.

That is how I interpreted it and responded correctly. It either needs and ALP CPU or the Beltronics CPU to work. The receiver is just that a receiver and it needs a CPU to communicate with.

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback. To clarify, I have the ALP with B/T module as Im sure many people do. can you purchase just the antenna of the sit r to connect to the ALP without having to purchase the whole kit as the way I understand, it just plugs into the ALP with the ALP module which you need to purchase, so nothing else from the STI R is even used. Hope that clarifies and thanks for the replies. I guess I know the answer will be no, but thought it worth asking.

You seem to be in Australia and you should also be able to get it from Tim @ DGC in Australia.

Thanks for quick reply. I don't believe they will sell antenna only. Will look up your website and have a look and will decide if I want to order and RG module. I have purchased mu ALR from Tim but have had a poor experience with the staff there and do not wish to return.

They are not on the site but Tim has them. I spoke with him last week and he had some when we last talked. If you call try asking for Tim and tell him BRD sent you.

The Sti-R Plus does not integrate directly with the ALP, Only the Sti-R Plus Receiver is needed and connects directly to the ALP to add Radar Protection to the ALP. If you already have the plus you are better off running them separately since you will loose the GPS Lockouts with the integration. That feature uses a Patent so its out of the reach for the ALP to offer that feature.

This is where YaV1 integration to ALP would be great, as it has that feature and he has talked about adding it. Shame Franky is not on this forum
