If its that snug you might be able to just mount the head without the bracket.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

There's not much to attach anything to unfortunately. The only other person with a focus st drilled the bracket flat against the front and I don't really want to do that.

See not a whole lot to attach to, 3m doesn't look like it would work at all.

For any laser jammer installation you will need the cut the grill. If you want to get fancy, you can build a scaffold out of aluminum between the grill and radiator to attach the jammer head brackets to. If I remember correctly, there was a member on the other forum EX35 that did that for a installation on a BMW x5.

This would be my choice location.
I would remove the grill , grind from behind to make a nest for the baby , then install
it flush leaving a 1\8 '' to sit an Irt plexi ....stealth\secure.

This doesn't look that hard at all to solve & have an idea for you. There's a Ford dealership the next town over from me,I will stop by later today to see if they have one in the lot so I can take some measurements.
The hardest part is knowing where to get thru the firewall...have you figured that out ?
