Yes, and there are even some iPhone 6 users that have zero issues. Something changed on apples end and I am not sure if they are using mixed hardware but something is different and we cant get any answers from Apple. The app has not changed in months and there have been no updates and the only changes have been made on Apples side. I also can do several Google searches and there are thousands of customers having BT issues, Its not something that AL can fix on its end. Believe me they want the issue resolves as bad as you do.

When I use ALP Connect on iPhone, the speed always reads 0mph on the iPhone regardless of how fast the vehicle is actually moving.
When I use ALP Connect on my Android phone, after a few seconds (GPS acquisition) the speed does display accurately.
I'm not trying to connect both at the same time, other functions work fine (e.g. parking, radar). I don't have the GPS antenna. Running iOS 8.1.2 (latest) on an iPhone 5S.
When I go to settings -> Privacy -> Location services, no preference is set for ALPConnect. If I set it to always, it will stay on that...
...until I run ALP Connect. Still no speed on the screen within the app, and when I go back to the location services setting, the "always" preference is no longer specified.
Any thoughts? Is this a known bug? ALPConnect version 1.7 for iOS, by the way.

The more I push the technology I have (iPhone 6+), the more bugs I discover that I would not otherwise notice. The speed not showing on the IOS 8.x can be "fixed" by going into location settings and manually selecting "always" for ALPConnect. Sucks that you have to do this every time. Apple has also failed us hardcore on the BT issue. If used different components on some of the iPhone 6's that would explain why some iPhone 6's work fine, and others like myself have to suffer for all eternity while they drag their feet to "fix" the issue. If its a hardware problem, you can count on NEVER.
As for the possible hardware differences, I wonder if anyone has opened a working iPhone 6 and compared the hardware to and non-working iPhone 6. Might be able to get the answer we are looking for that way. If we can prove that is the likely cause, then we might force Apple's hand and get them to exchange the phones. If they refused, then a nice class action lawsuit might get their attention.
Well I notice a new ALPConnect is out today with only one fix noted for the location services.
Now I'm not trying to be a dick here, but previously when this was discussed, the feedback given was that this is more than likely an iPhone and or ios8 issue, and, not an ALP problem.
Now, we have a new revision, and it states that the location service has been fixed. So, it seems App,e were not the issue, or, it was an issue needing combined resources to repair.
My next question has to be then, who is at fault or who is responsible to repair the issue with the Bluetooth dropping out continuously?
As per previouse comments, the fault for want of a better word has been laid on Apple, and this still may be true, but, so was the location services.
I'm sorry to harp on this, but is ALP addressing this with Apple and or are they trying to resolve this issue for their customers?
Finally, let me say that ALP are the best out there and I like many wish to see it remain so
Think to yourself if everyone has had no problem and then apple releases a new version and things start to fall apart how could it be AL's fault. Any new product released should be backwards compatible with all previous products. For location services AL tried a different approach to go around the apple issue. In regard to Bluetooth as I mentioned above AL has tried everything even using different BT chips in their own BT module and its still having issues. Since AL uses BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) so it does not run down your phone batteries that is where the issue is on Apple's end with BLE devices. That is something we still need to wait for apple to address.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The BLE devices are definitely at the heart of the problem. There are rumors of a 8.3 IOS release soon.

Separate from BLE iOS 8 has just generally been a disaster for bluetooth in general. 8.1 helped with some, but not all of that.
It's so bad that some users had to completely reset their iiphones and car stereos to get consistent connectivity. Some of the details and fixes people have tried are documented here. This is occurring across a wide band of bluetooth devices that work fine with non-Apple operating systems or iOS before version 8.
At this point, the main answer seems to be...wait for iOS 8.2. There's rumors that Apple snuck in bluetooth fixes that were not in the release notes in iOS 8.1.2 because some people say it fixed their issues, but a lot of people are still having problems.
EDIT: Also, the 1.8 version of the ALPConnect fixed the location services issue as promised...
