I went out and bought a used iPhone 4S to use for the ALP Connect. Cost me $150 and its worth it in my opinion but I will switch to the Android version when its available.

So you can use the iPhone just as your laser alert through the bluetooth? I guess you could play your music thru the iPhone too. Great idea! Thanks

Yes, You can do anything with the iPhone without service as you could with an iPhone with service. The same Bluetooth module will also work on Android so when the Android app comes out (A few months) I will use Android and resell the iPhone because I will no longer have use for it.

Apple version has been out and its had major improvements since its first release. Android is under development and I will not commit to a date yet but it should be in the Fall sometime.

Always separate... No need to raise the cost of the ALP for people that would not want or need the Bluetooth option.
