How often do I need access to the SN and PIN? I was planning on making that side the side with the velcro or should I use the blue side for attachment.

Only once when you register the bluetooth connection with your phone. The serial number will show up in discovery, You only need the pin to establish the connection. Just write the pin number down somewhere in case you change phones.

Time to go buy another second hand iPhone unless there is not a big wait on the Android version? This would look good on my S4 also, will the app in the future contain the record function and direct send to AL, this could be a handy feature for on the run.

There are many planed Future options and mods for the app, be free to suggest your own and it may get included at some point. Thanks

I dont see it? I only see 1.0.1 (October 28th, 2013) which is not the current version - You need 1.1.0 which was submitted a week ago.

How should the sounds work? I assume if app is open sounds will play through the phone and into the radio if phone is playing music also. If app is closed, no sound to an alert - correct?

Here is a quick demonstration of the sounds when playing music with the app running in the background.



The app should start up automatically once it see's the bluetooth connection. If after it starts up if you physically turn it off then of course you will not get any alerts.
