First Steps Required After Installing Your AL Priority System

I have same problem. I downloaded all firmware and controller updates correctly and tried 4 different USB keys. The first time I did it, it did go through the firmware upgrade sequence (different colored flashing lights and restart); however, it would not change the setting so I knew something was wrong. After this, it would not upgrade firmware or even recognize any of my USB keys. I just saw this thread now, and read something about having to register with ALP first before upgrading firmware. I did not do that. Is that the issue? Why did it run the upgrade sequence the first time I inserted a USB key ever, but not thereafter? I have emailed ALP and subsequently registered, but still waiting for reply. My unit flashes green then switches to blue out of the box, by the way. Thanks!

If system is powered on and you insert the USB Memory drive with the firmware on it nothing happens when you insert it? There is no red blinking error code?
If nothing happens are you sure you also loaded a Setup File with Defense Activated?

System is powered on, I insert USB memory drive with firmware, UCSET.bin, setup.alp, nothing happens. USB drive light doesn't light up, ALP just blinks normally (blue, one per second), no red error blinking, no multicolor firmware upgrade blinking.

If its blinking blue you are in defense mode and all is working properly.

My concern is the system won't read the USB, I know that because it doesn't change the settings to the ones I selected on the setup file (dim mode etc). Also, when I manually check firmware version, it is still at 4.3.1. The first time I attempted firmware update to 4.3.5 (I didn't know I had to register my serial number first), the system actually blinked different colors and rebooted, but still at 4.3.1. I thought you mentioned it was a new system which would have come with a blinking green light. Have you registered the product? The latest firmware is only available to registered users? If so try to download it again because if you downloaded it before registration you will not get a proper file. Format the drive download all 3 files and try again and let me know what happens. Also you can PM me your order number and serial number it would be helpful.

The page states that the file should be named Setup.alp and you have it without the capitol letter S, dunno if that matters tho.

I didn't change the name of the file, I just downloaded onto my USB key whatever it was straight from ALP's website. Thanks for the suggestion though.
