If its blinking blue you are in defense mode and all is working properly.

It was blinking blue out of the box before I did any firmware upgrades though. My concern is the system won't read the USB, I know that because it doesn't change the settings to the ones I selected on the setup file (dim mode etc). Also, when I manually check firmware version, it is still at 4.3.1. The first time I attempted firmware update to 4.3.5 (I didn't know I had to register my serial number first), the system actually blinked different colors and rebooted, but still at 4.3.1. After this, it won't even attempt to perform the update sequence. Plug in USB with firmware, UCSET, setup.alp, nothing happens.
