On a similar vein, will the pinout of the control port (C socket) and any serial protocol be made available for 3rd parties to create accessories that can interface to the ALP? I'm wondering how feasible it is to wire up a separate JTK/mute button, if it can be done just by tapping the appropriate pins on the RJ45 or whatever it is, or does that information have to be transmitted serially?

Maybe I should just buy one and play with it....
