Alrighty - well ended up buying one. I'm going to use the bracket and try to drill around the three pointed star - the end result should be the same install like BestRadarDetectors.

My last question is - can the tx sensor be recessed in the 3 pointed star or should it be flush (e.g. right against the outer edge?)
