    Hey Guys!

Hey everyone. Some of you guys may know me from RDF, but it looks as though I never introduced myself over here. I've been in this hobby for about a couple years now after I upgraded cars from something that didn't really go fast enough to need CMs to something that is very capable of driving much more quickly. I always wanted to get on it a little bit when the road was clear, but was worried that there'd be an officer waiting for me around the next bend. I found Vortex's YouTube channel and ended up buying an LRD950 from Tom. I later added ALP Duals, and a Radenso HD+ to my setup, though I'm probably going to sell the HD+ now that I have a Uniden R3 on the way. I thought it would be safe running a windshield mount and a remote mount, but reflected signals have given me a number of false alerts, so I'm happy that I can get everything I want in one box with the R3.

    Welcome to the Forum.
Yeah, that Uniden R3 looks to be a real performer, doesn't it. I don't really need a Spectre (RDD) proof RD at this time & sat this out for now & I get great range w/ what I have.

For me I love my LRD950, but it's weak to 33.8 to a certain extent, and that's most of what I see on the highway here. Around town it's mostly k band, so it's been nice to have the LRD950's filtering, but I have had a few closer calls with twisty roads, so it'll be nice to have a little more range there too.

I was hoping to solve my 33.8 problems with the HD+, but my LRD950 doesn't get along with it very well, even with the LRD950 up high and the HD+ down low. The leakage from the LRD950 seems to frequently bounce off of just about anything and set off the HD+, to the extent that I could almost use it as a parking sensor (with ramp up and everything!). Segmenting the HD+ down to just 33.8 cut down on 95% of the falses, but they still happen, especially in traffic. It'll be nice to go back to one detector and not have any falsing issues that make you question if there was an I/O shot that you just caught, or if you're falsing your own detector.
