Specifically of interest is the vendor they chose.
This was on the local (Albany/Schenectady) TV news last night. The politicians were all crying the blues about the loss of anticipated revenue, and nothing else.
It'll be a real money maker !
It uses T-Series cabinet for the electronics & a planar antenna w/ very low power K-band FM radar.

Time for the Cheetah 150
Well, I'm not sure about it's capabilities just yet,for sure !
Having read all their technical filing documentation before it could be sold in the EU & what they filed here in U.S.A. for FCC "Type Acceptance" approval, I would say it probably has the best chance of it being successful. It does have built-in discriminator electronics, however- I'm not on board until an owner of one can show us video that it indeed does detect (at a good distance) the Gatso.
As this system is designed to be a revenue generator, I'm suspecting every effort has been made by Gatso to prevent early detection of this damn thing.
dp
we got this new kid on the block as well very low power( Seems like its offical name is now the Gatso T Series RT3.
M3 )
nothing piks this one, Stinger does but very short range, we are working with Stinger just like we did with the new mrct, if this low power stuff keeps coming ur way Belscort going to have lift there game heaps
Why the drama ... It's only a RLC. How many red lights do you guys run??

There are to many "No Turn On Red Light" signs where I drive (& in NY,too). These signs came about b/c of the morons who somehow got a drivers license when they are not qualified to walk & chew gum at the same time.
When exercising good judgement on my part & it's perfectly safe to do so....need I say more ?
Lol and I thought I was crotchety ...

You are, even more than I !
These evil units are also great at fining multiple vehcials at once traveling in different directions.
Imagine, speed fine and red light fine at once, and 3 other cars doing the same.
It also can do point to point.
Overtaken and I are currently working with Stinger to create algorithms for long range detection of these beasts.
But USA welcome to some of our pain with low powered flashers. ):

I like how local Counsel(woman) says they stop accident's and it's not about revenue.... Why Ms. Counselperson did Albany write $2,000,000 into their budget then? Or does the accident's somehow produce revenue that "do not happen" as a result of these RLC's....

Watch out if headed to the hospital's from out of town... funny how they hit this intersection... Central Ave. & Henry Johnson Blvd.
Hahah $50 fines.
That's cute.
It's $400 here and 3 points.
That's 1/4 of your points.
Americans get it so easy.
