Hi all,
Just wondering what everyone's experience and view are on rear laser/lidar threats in each state?
Really depends on location.
We have front and rear lidar here so it's a no brainer where I live.
That said, even if it's normally not, who knows if some LEO one day decides out of the blue to start shooting up the bum?
It is more expensive and takes more time to install the rear jammers, but IMHO it's worth going for the full install and not just duals up front.
It is just very hard to achieve stealth....
Which of the states are known to have laser cams that will hit from behind?
QLD
VIC
NSW
SA
WA
NT
TAS is a YES
ACT
yep need rear all states
Is there known lasercams in NSW or are they all radarcam?
go to the sticky in AU/NZ sec chek the listings
Yep, get rear protection, just to be sure.
Take note next time you see a Leo pointing a gun and you will be able to tell which way he is lasering
Not much is known about NSW tactics.
Could you get away with one to the rear for medium car?
alp may be just, but most will recommend two , if the rear install is simple try it just the one , but if it,s major do the two in one hit
Can the sit side by side right next to each other in the centre above the plate?
Preferred to spread them out.
The mainly target your Number plate and headlights. So having them just in the center is not ideal.
3 Heads on the front is the best option for protection.
Also depends on what brand of LJ's you choose too, some have better spread of light.
2 would be ok for the rear if you have a place to install them
Nsw do a lot of rear tagging with laser. So yes its needed :)
Might have to design a rear number plate surround somehow
If you do go Stinger VIP, could always look into getting the rear bullets for your bumper, would blend in perfectly.
or paint the bumper black
I hope to be testing a single rear ALP head covering the rear of my car this week. It will be interesting to see how it does.
Thinking I could always just remove two of the rear park sensor and replace with the Stingers
