Honestly there are not that many players so there are not many choices. The current leader is the AL Priority Laser Defense System. You will have to find a dealer local to you for pricing since this item is Region coded and can only be used in the country that it was purchased.
welcome from OZ, the ALP is the best around imho, http://www.antilaser.ca/ you need to do some research on here, and some one will chime in to add more
I see, there only appears to be one dealer and there prices are huge !
Reading up on here it appears the blinder compact and laser interceptor are not that good compared to the AL, is that the case for the UK or just the US ??
Welcome
Welcome to RALF. AL priority is clearly the best and currently has the best chance of staying in front with future threats. BUT...............it depends on what threats (LIDAR's) you face (and expect to face in the future). If your only threats are older fixed pulse rate guns, there are a number of bargains to be had, used, from people who are upgrading to ALP's.
Welcome from Qc Canada , always better to defend then suffer.

Welcome to the forum. Just like anything else that one purchases, generally you get what you pay for. Feel free to ask questions.
Welcome! Former Shipley born and raised.
AL Priority is the way to go, one ticket will prove that out
Thanks for the many replies.
I'd love the ALP but in the U.K. for the dual setup it's $1450 and that is out of my budget for now.
Would anyone have any info on what LIDDAR we have in the UK ?
Welcome!!!
I used to follow http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/ but I think the site is quite outdated now.
Have a look at one of the major UK suppliers to Law Enforcement ;

Pick your county, and see if they supply the police there ;

It's basically all LTI equipment (TruSpeed / TruCam / UltraLyte).
The Riegl FG-21P used to be used, but not sure if it is still used, and one of the UniPar guns.
Found this link to Home Office approved devices, but its dated 2007 ;

Basically, there's nothing currently there that AL / LI / Blinder can't handle.
If you're ever planning to go across the channel to Germany / Austria etc with your car, the Blinder HP-905 will not jam the Vitronic PoliscanSpeed which is common in those countries.
Welcome to this Forum,ianleon.
Once you determine which LIDAR models the local Constabulary use,you can then decide which laser countermeasure system will meet your protection needs.You might even find them for sale (used, for a year or less!) on this Forum.Many want the BEST & have sold their older legacy models in order to get the AntiLaser Priority.
Look forward to your participation here.
The ALP was out of my original budget too but the more research I did I came to the conclusion no other jammer was worth it especially given the rise of vpr lidar. Vpr will be a problem for us all in coming years.
So my suggestion to you is save the extra muller and get an ALP.
Well...... I have brought one, hopefully will be here tomorrow, can see everyones point, buy cheap buy twice.
Looking forward to installing it now !
I had the same moto by cheap buy twice ...but now im starting to think buy first buy twice my ALP will never jam a VPR just a thought
Where do you recommend ? under the number plate ?
Attachment 2356
I'd have to drill holes for that, is that what a lot of people do ?
Would I be able to sit them under the number plate behind the grill/mesh or do they need to be forward of it to prevent any signal blocking ?
Ok, won't be doing it that way then !
If i fix them next plate would i be ok to drill an eclipse for the sensor and fit it behind the grill with just the sensor sticking through hole or is there more that needs to be exposed ?
As a guide I try to get around 12 inch distance between alp heads Np and head lights, like a 12 in radius
