Does anyone have a tutorial on how to hook up a seperate kill switch for the system like Mirage's setup?
Just for the record I don't use it anymore. I trust the ALP's JTK capabilities now both on the Bluetooth side and the control module. If you're still interested just put a switch in line with the positive power on the unit.Quote:

I'm not all that sure why you would want a separate kill switch to be honest, since all you need to do to kill a jam is just press the power button on the control module once, I am sure the BT app has similar.
Well that's kind of why... I know this might sound shallow, but I don't really like the look of the control pad so I'm wanting to hide it maybe in my glove box or something like that.
What good would that do you if you put your speaker since its built in to the controller in your glovebox.Quote:

Set your auto kill to 3 seconds and remain aware... make sure you can see LEO and forget it.... I also don't think the control pad is unsightly and actually feel as if it enhances the look of the interior if placed well.... To each their own though and don't want to appear as a troll because of my views but feel like it might benefit this post....Quote:

Why does it matter how much a car costs vs. someone's opinion? Just because a car cost 200k does that mean that somehow their opinion is correct?
Its used as an example to show how every day users and even high end customers that can afford to customize their high end vehicles are happy with the way it is. Do you personally own a system, Maybe you need to see one in person.Quote:

I have the kill switch and as i have said before.. When i get painted with laser all i do is flip the switch... I have many apps running at the same time and waze is on the main screen and E/L, pandora and the B/T for ALP running in the back ground. so i dont have to take my eyes off the rd to kill.
This for me is just easier and i feel more comfortable doing it this way, everyone has there on opinion and feelings..
If you have the control pad and do not like to look of it just put it up in the visor area so you can hear it and dont really have to see it and then just add a kill switch..and done :fat:

Cant you just fit a switch to the power supply wire? That's what I have done with the LPP and older systems, that way if you get a hit you just check your speed and when your doing the correct speed switch the system off?
Also can you not fit the hifi attachment so you have a speaker that way you can hide the controller out of sight and no one is any the wiser if they look in the car, say in the glove box or ash tray,
And if you see my other post all I would need to do get the usb key and remove it to disable the jam cycle, a nice parking system : )
Indeed for me the perfect set up,
1/ control unit hidden
2/ hi fi so a nice loud speaker
3/ the usb key in a handy place to pull / remove in a hurry if required
4/ a power switch out of sight
5/ the led mounted in line of sight.
If you are using the AL Priority as a laser blocker, you can simply remove the USB key and it will switch back to parking sensors???
