Hum, I just pealed them back and they camed off with NO sticker residue... If you use a chemical i would keep it away from the front of the lens... Um i think that Goo Gone is a waste and have never had any luck with it at all, I usually take some CRC green can brake fluid, Play it on a clean towel ( Not paper towel) and just gentley rub it in and you mat have to repeat the process..
Other then that i got nothing:encouragement:
On the install we did this past weekend, one peeled off rather easily. On the other, which was stubborn, we used a scraper with a single edge razor blade (made for removing registration/inspection stickers) available at any auto parts store. There are also small handheld scrapers that hold single edge blades sold by paint supply/hardware stores. You could use just the razor blade, but the scraper mechanism gives you a better grip/control, and makes it less likely that you'll cut yourself or damage the head.
Just dont remove the serial label on the back please!
My original heads from last year pealed right off. The new head I got a few weeks ago was one with the sticker. Was able to scratch some of it off but it stayed for the most part.
The labels on Series I Priority sensors peeled off easily. For the Series II sensors Croatia must have used a different supplier b/c they are far more difficult to remove. The "razor" tool curmudgeon mentions removed the label easily...make sure no fingers are in the direction your pushing the razor ! :hororr:
+1 for having to use a razor to remove. Used a bit of brake cleaner on a rag to get the glue off after.
Hot sunlight, hairdryer or a heat gun will typically soften the sticker so it can be removed. One of the cheapest glue removers is mineral spirits.
I don't see the reason for removing them? I left them on unless my installer took them off?
