LOL-- I have never used the control pad till now--I have had the BT since day 1, Ill try it again later but it isnt to hard to push two buttons at once haha, and all I could get was the foglight option. :)
I figured out the volume finally--I wasn't HOLDING the two buttons until it went into vol mode, I was just pressing/releasing.
I went to Dim mode as well, instead of dark because I wanted to see my control pad light ON, knowing I had power to it--in dark mode I kept wondering if it was powered on lol
Get it for the great deal BRD is offering. Well worth it!!!
Oh and don't forget "HURRY" before he runs out of the special deal. :)
Well I had a little issue updating it but that was my own fault.....I THOUGHT I put all the files on my USB stick and it wasnt working so I checked like 3 times and tried then realized I didnt put the voicepack file on haha
long story short.....laser interference defense, active!
As reflected on the websites the promo has ended. It was alive over 3 weeks and glad that we were able to get many of you in on the promo.
Could we have the firmware changed so that when we select "Silent powerup," it doesn't shout "Active!" at startup?
Here you go... AL Engineers do review this thread: http://radarandlaserforum.com/showth...he-AL-Priority
So if you order an new ALP system with HIFI Module, do you still get the old control pod. If not How does effect the firmware installation process.
I have the BT module now. Is the Hi-Fi a better choice than ALP Connect? I've been very frustrated with the BT module and my iPhone 6 with the connection continually being dropped. Worked fine with my iPhone 5. Do people here that have both use the ALP Connect BT module over the Hi-Fi module or the other way around?
iPhone 6 issue is coming to an end soon. We are waiting for iOS 8.2 to be released and then we will release a new ALP Connect V1.9 that will work with the new IOS to solve the connection issues.

AL has been Testing the new release and all seems to be good this time.
Good news. I'm still intrigued with the Hi-Fi and would like to hear what people with both think of each.
I have BT android and HiFi. I been using HiFi becuse must easier to use. I going to upgrade my s3 to a iPhone 6 and may use s3 for ALP only then, no problems with andriod version.
Dukes said it all , though i cannot compare versus BT operation. The Hi-Fi is easy to set up , not one beat missed after 3 months use. I fire it thru a wireless switch...all sweet.
I've run both and prefer the HiFi module. I like that it's one less thing in your dash, no worries about phone batteries going dead, needing to plug in a phone or automate the startup/sleep process if it's a dedicated phone, etc. It just works.
I do like the visual confirmation of the gun ID though on the phone when you get shot, frequency display for radar, and history of most recent guns you encountered for easier review.

haha, you'd probably get ALP Connect popping up with YaV1 overlaying on top of that. You can still access ALP Connect just fine as long as you tap outside of the overlay. I see this happen when I'm trying to use Waze while YaV1 is popped up. I have to press around it or wait for the overlay to go away. Fortunately the ALP app lets you tap anywhere so you can still JTK just fine.
Finally brought one with latest 2017 CPU,
Love how loud it is!
