Mine was just delivered! On time with no detailed tracking needed. :applouse:
No plans to install for a few days. Too busy right now with the family. Will do it when the kid returns to school.

Soo... My HiFi update was not very smooth...
After updating all the firmware and attempting to power on the unit the first 9 or 10 attempts ended like this...

I then attempted to reload firmware (which it skipped I assume since it was the same version) and then this happened 3 or 4 times...

I again attempted to reload the firmware (skipped again) and it finally turned on properly... then it died during my first test. Note that I was still shooting with my tester for a few seconds after it died. I clipped the video since there was about 30 seconds of nothing as I tried various things assuming the LI tester was having issues while standing in front of the car lol

Seems to be working now...

Everything is working fine. The buzzing noise is because you are in pro mode and are getting hit with a second shot.
Most likely you did not let the update complete when updating the voicepack initially. It takes much longer to update than firmware.. Almost 4+ minutes.
The update did take longer than the previous ones. I think the system died during the update after it attempted to reboot itself and the sound was somewhat distorted as it died. So you are probably right in that something likely didn't finish updating. I am just glad it's working well now. This may be a sign that I should use a newer flash drive for updates even.
I am familiar with the buzzing in the last video as it is very similar to the standard control set buzz during an alert in pro mode. I was just testing the various alerts for front/rear and getting use to how it sounds when being shot multiple times, short shots, longs shots, etc.
Just ordered mine from Alex at KMPH. What steps need to be done after swapping out Control Modules? I'm thinking a new setup, bin and UCSET file are all that's needed, other than the HiFi update with voice park files.
Installing now, gunna make a video too :D
Having issues with it going blue, then blinking red, then turning off when the USB isn't plugged in, and my settings didn't transfer. Re-grabbing a settings file and trying again, though the setup.alp I got it to save with the stick in says its in LID mode, it didn't alert or blink at my PL3, will update shortly.
Please remember you need to update the cpu firmware and then both the control set firmware and add a voicepack file.
Yup, firmware was updated first, had all three files on my stick when update was performed. Got it to do a pull after install, setup.alp said
Working mode Parking and Laser Interference Defense
Firmware version 4.5.2
But the light t'was green my friend.
I've since re-done the setup.alp and interference mode is working, but still having troubles booting up... May be voltage, but it's odd.
I'm uploading some videos now, need to get something I can merge movs with from my t4i one of these days (lol lazy)

When external led goes steady green you are 50% done wirh the update. Let it keep going and the control set will continue flashing.
Just curious, when you did your setup file, did you by chance uncheck your sensors? I accidentally did that once, and got the green light.
Where is the HiFi FW stored, in the CPU, or in the control set itself? Do you have to have the HiFi Control Set attached to the CPU in order to update the Hi Fi Control Set firmware?
Sorry, was playing a game, rest of the vidyas

They charge a fee for online or over the phone payments. I hate Fidelity bank. They also don't pay interest on the escrow money (part of the original mortgage contract, which they bought from Chase) I've complained to the NYS banking commission and they won't do anything because it's an out-of-state bank and "not subject to State rules", despite both the property and original contract being in NYS. (Thank you sooooooooo much Ronald Reagan for that wonderful piece of banking deregulation).
Update : just took a trip to Walmart, couldn't get it to boot with stick in or out... Tried hard power on off too
Here is my firmware install

So put ucset.bin and take the hifi bin out?
Maybe we should get someone to post step by step instructions on what to do after the new HiFi control module is installed.
What files to load and in what order. Also, how long can we expect each file to take to fully load. That may help with people powering down the ALP before a full update has taken place. Seems like people are having difficulty with this. Just a thought.
Oh, the control set gets autodetected. You want me to swap the controller out. Got it.
I think this is the issue... The External LED stops blinking at the half way point and some might think it froze but its normal and they just need to wait until it reboots which can take 2 more minutes.
Process should be done in the following order:
1. CPU Firmware needs to be updated (Normal process which takes around 60 seconds)
2. Control Set needs to be connected and will work with no voices and then the HiFi Control Set firmware needs to be loaded and then the VoicePack but both files can be on the same drive and will go in this order automatically.
I made completely sure mine was done before I did anything, and I did a soft power off with the button after updating, so it was definitely done.
Uploading new videos now, old control set works great, every time. New control set is hit-and-miss.
So BRD, to be clear, right now I have a USB key inserted all the time as I run in privacy mode. I have the key file, bin, ucset and setup file on the USB drive now. Total of 4 files. The steps I need to do after receiving the new HiFi controller are:
1- swap out controller to new HiFi controller
2 -Update the CPU firmware - (first newer file)
3- Update the new Control Set Firmware and add voicepak files as well (2nd and 3rd new files)
4- Power Down the unit after the ALP system has uploaded all the new files
5- Re-start the system
I don't use the little LED light the system came with, I just use the light on the old/new controller
I should have a total of five files now on the USB drive I leave inserted for privacy mode? (key, bin, ucsethifi, setup, voicepak)??? If I'm missing something please advise.
Definitely, else wise the voice wouldn't work at all. All files, ucset, hifi, setup, and firmware are all present.
I just seem to be the winner on defective hardware BRD, no need to rush a new one or anything, let ALP take a look at the videos and see what they think. Maybe we need to force a reflash (how to do)? I'll be happy to run any diagnostics you guys need.
Confirmed, I am on 4.5.2 as well.

Confusing lol! I just got mine will install tomorrow--
So it seems we need to Separately install the the CPU firmware First (only thing on USB)
then hook up new controller, then put controller and voice pack files on USB and update! Done?
Great I will do it in those steps then--seems like it doesn't like putting all files on at once and do it like before! Ill give update tomorrow after I install everything
Good night BRD--get some sleep
