Unlike firmware that you can just insert the usb memory stick and it updates, For the control module you need to turn off the unit and power it back on using the power button before the control module will update.

I also have 0.0 for control firmware and then get error 2 when i connect the B/Tooth unit???? However, it seems to work fine under the ALP App
Error 2 is a sensor error. Have you run a "Reset Defaults" from the ALP Connect App after install? That will memorize all your sensors and their positions. When you restart you should no longer have an error. If you change your configuration or you have a sensor issue you will get another error alert that something changed with the sensors.
Just did a round trip from NY to SC. Everything worked fine and then I received the ERROR2 when I stopped for gas at the SC border. I checked the sensors to make sure they worked in park mode. Everything checked out. I didn't have any problem after that. It even warned me of the polscan on I95 after that. I think the car that went by on my left got caught.
Check your wiring and make sure you have the shinkwrap on the din connectors to keep them weather proof. Also enable the parking sensors and walk around and verify that each sensor is working. If all are working you are good to go. Anytime a sensor looses connection you will get the error because it will sense a change in the positions of the connected heads.
I'm hoping to finally install my ALP/STIR this weekend. (Jeez where has the time gone since Xmas).
Tom, is there an update I need yet?
Download the latest to a USB stick and you should be good to go: http://www.alpriorityupdate.com/
If you haven't updated since Christmas you will also need the control module update. The site above will give you all the details.
i also get error 2, but only if i'm close to the garage door, out in the open every thing is fine
