Just updated--simple as pie lol.
Anyway I Just noticed on my Apple ALP App, when hooked up there is a flashing white symbol in upper right corner now that I have never seen? Looks like a Dish with flashing wi-fi ))))) ?
Gps
I dont have GPS? I have never never seen that symbol until right now after I updated?
Minor bug.... Will get fixed shortly. For users that use an attached GPS the speed will be fed from the attached GPS instead of the phone's GPS. This way users with iPods with no GPS will be able to see speed readings.
Ahhhh cool---did this bug just appear today with the update Tom?
Simple question,yes/ no, will the GPS work now on ios 8.1.1 apple confused, cause mine don't seem to work after update
Did the behavior of the parking sensors change with version 4.5.1? I got a solid red light on my ALP when pulling into the garage today. When I pushed the POWER button once, the light went to flashing (and the parking sensor beeps started up). One more press of the POWER button and the light was back to solid red.
Can you elaborate and I will look into it? After 4.5.1 you lost GPS functionality on your iPhone or after the last IOS update? Does the GPS Function work based on the settings but just not reflect on the app? Need some more information to get to the bottom of it. We have another firmware update scheduled within the next 2 weeks so if the issue is with the 4.5.1 update we should be able to correct the issue quickly in the next update.
Ain't worked for ages since the ios 8 came into play u can get it working by using the privacy work around on the iPhone, but when u disconnect back to no good, one thing I have noticed when u do the privacy Dodge u can set off and get speed kmh reading and the GPS is not even locked on
And this is with the iPhone 6 or older phones? There are tons of issues with the iPhone 6 and AL has been looking into it for weeks but have not had any luck and they believe the issues are on the Apples side. Only some users have issues with others running the same ALP Connect and the iPhone 6 are fine which leads us to believe their might be some hardware differences in certain phones.
5s phone, another strange thing is the car will turn blue to defensive when u reach the set speed but with 0 kmh on the phone reading when not using the privacy Dodge
It all went t!!!ts up, with ios8
Because the settings are based on the GPS antenna connected to the CPU but the displayed speed on the app is coming from the phones GPS. So all functions will still work properly but the displayed speed on the phone might not be working if the app does not have access to the phones GPS. AL is working on getting the speed from the attached GPS antenna (Soon) so that you would no longer rely on the phones GPS if you have the direct GPS connected to the CPU.
The GPS permission (Location Settings) are not part of the settings of ALP Connect. Its the app settings for the phone itself. My iPhone is dead at the moment and its 1AM here, so I will charge it over night and get some screen shots tomorrow if someone does not beat me to it.

Issue with IOS 8.0 is that its not saving the settings.
I'm using iPhone 6 Plus with issues.
The plus apparently is slightly different to the 6
But it's probably all of them in combination with ios8 anyways
Are these updates cumulitive or does the last one issues update everything to present?
Don't those vehicles do well in snow?

You have some nice / fast toys to play with lol
Maybe it's just me but the stir integration seems to be working a little better it's giving me about 200m more detection on Gatso cameras of the fixed varriety and about an extra 100m on mobile ones also less k band falses.. Haven't been hit by laser thus far but then I haven't been in a while now which is surprising round here.
All wheel drive on the Porsche... Caddy has all that HP to the rear wheels. Our Rover is in the 400 hp club and also AWD
Just updated the other day, and had my first hit with the new firmware last night!
As if there was any doubt who'd come out on top... ;)
