Is this a question? We do not plan to release a new Apple ALP Connect until around the same time that new BT module comes out in Mid-January.

No not at all just saw it today thx
This idea of using an inexpensive Android to run Alp Connect & Blue tooth appeals to me for many reasons.
It seems to me the Android becomes a dedicated operating screen for ALP Connect
So let me hang out my lack of knowledge and ask
- how one accomplishes this without actually opening a cell provider account?
- how the internet then gets accessed for the OTA updates?
- any specific phones to recommend
I do not mean to hijack this thread.
If it is better to PM the answer or to direct me to a different thread please do so

Heck just about any Android 4.2 or higher phone with Bluetooth 4.0 support should work. I have not tested one of these but even this would probably work and its a whopping $10

Just use WiFi to connect it to your regular phone to add internet to the device for updates.
any chance you have a link for updated FW for new HiFi control set?
Just go to the ALP Update website: http://www.alpupdate.com
Thanks I did find it and bookmarked it from post#4.
Ok i am lost ...can someone recap what has to be done to be up-to-date.
For what i understand , my system being HiFi , i need to configure like 2 profiles :
A) configure to have Parking Only ''config.alp''
B) configure to have unlimited time to jam : ''config.alp''
I place those 2 ''config.alp'' on my usb.
I download also : voicepck.alp + uXXXXXXX.bin and place them on the same usb . Alp being closed , i place the usb and start the cpu , and wait till process is completed.
Is this right ?
Now how do i switch from profile A to B , and what do i look to know the system status.
( 2. Configuration Profiles! Double-click the Menu button to change between stored A, B or C Profiles. The selected Profile will be announced by voice over the HiFi Control set. This feature is only available on systems with HiFi Controllers. )
I mean aside the voice announcement , do we still have the led color (green/red) on the control box to show us the status ?
I know it sounds weird coming fom an old timer ...just i want to make sure i dont miss a step .
Thanks.
