That was a surprise to me too--after loading the update ans setup, it told me to update voice packs as well!! Thats great it lets you know something needs updating rather than find out the hard way

Relatively new to ALP, but man, am I impressed. Second update in about 3 months - and no drama when doing the update either. The other laser brand I had for about a 18 months and not one update. Great work ALP!

I was able to update my system today via Bluetooth. Choose "Firmware Update" from the ALP Phone App, File downloaded and then it updated the ALP Controller. Painless!! ALP is THE BEST!!!

if not using HIFI do i need to do both or just control box ?, info via dgc email

WHEN UPDATING YOUR SYSTEM, DOWNLOAD BOTH THE CONTROL BOX AND CONTROL SET UPDATES AND STORE TO A USB STICK. HiFi USERS MUST ALSO DOWNLOAD THE NEW VOICEPACK.
BLUETOOTH USERS: NOTE THAT THE CONTROL SET CAN NOT BE UPDATED IF THE CONTROL SET IS NOT PLUGGED INTO THE CONTROL BOX DURING THE UPDATE.

There was no standard controller update with this update.. Only firmware and new Voice Pack for HiFi users.

Suggestion to ease the task for everyone : here on this post : gives the direct link for each group of users .

Such as : '' Only firmware and new Voice Pack for HiFi users.''

Such as : BT users : xyz has to be upgraded.

They do that in the official emails.. I just gave you guys a heads up before the official emails go out.

yep but confusing i did both, then re did std controller, will check controller later, fw is in ok, hope i aint upset things doing what i was advised

You can never hurt anything by updating all files. If something is not new the ALP will just ignore it.
