That is great news.
Music player pauses similar as it would if you got a phone call. in some future app update handling of audio will be more improved. Thanks for your observations.
Not sure if this is a bug or not in the latest ALP connect
But my (recent alarms) freezes and wont display any new radar alarms, even though it alerts to them.
Not too fussed if this is fixed in the new version coming soon
Yeah mine does the same too.
It only shows the odd radar freq on the phone.
Pretty sure mine's doing the same. The number of alerts in the list did look pretty light (all k falses in my case), but the laser alerts were all there.
I can't understand why these things only happen on Ozzie stuff,
Cos we are the only ones to mention it hah!

We seem to get all the problems lol, winter your probably spot on with the STIR thing.
OK, I'm running K wide, so no segs on K band (just Ka segged). Is it not logging the high and low range k band (segs k1 and k6) that AL recommend to switch off in the firmware update description for to avoid lane assist etc . The Redflex runs in the low (sub) k range in AU, so that probably needs to be included in the logging, if not a bug
Quote:
Added K Band segmentation. K1, K2,…K6 from 23950 MHz to 24250 MHz (only STiR antenna at the moment).
Its definitely not a bug and we discussed this many times. One alert several miles away could cause several logs with loosing weak signals and picking them back up over and over. KA & Laser Alerts are high priority and K band which is loaded with false alerts would easily fill out the log with some decent daily traveling. If you want to make a suggestion for a change I created a thread for suggestions for future features:

Post your suggestions in that thread.
I have a new issue with the Alp Connect Application
iphone 5S running latest ios
Version 1.3 of Alp connect
Version 4.3.4 of firmware
I have 2 applications running on the iphone when driving
One is the Alp Connect & The other is CameraAlert
When I set the Alp Connect to Default audio output I get no output at all from the phone - so I switch it to the 'speaker' option and I get output via the iphone speaker - great you say...however when I switch to the speaker setting the audio output I currently have going via bluetooth for Cameralaert using the head unit in the car + car speakers stops working and is then routed via the iphone speaker.
As soon as I switch the Alp Connect setting back to 'default' for audio output my CameraAlert program then sends audio as expected via bluetooth and car speakers.
Is there something in the setting for Alp connect which is interfering with other programs ?
i have a simular problem, when the speaker is in default alp and car phone bt connected, every thing is fine ,start the car, sound gone stop the car sound is back, change audio to speaker every thing works , strange stuff this blue tooth
Honestly I hate this Bluetooth stuff because every vehicle is different and every vehicle wants to handle the Bluetooth connection differently. It can work great in one car and another has issues. I think Mirage has the right idea... Connect an amplified speaker to your phone audio jack and no more Bluetooth issues.
great idea, musta missed that
How about one better. A Bluetooth speaker / speakerphone. I use the Jabra Freeway because I have one, but you could also use any Bluetooth speaker like the JBL Micro or something like that. I just like the jabra because it has 7 watts and is loud when it's on your visor. I used to love getting scared by the LI speaker. This takes that to a whole new level no matter how loud your music is you will hear this one.

Lots of updates ect for this app....Couple questions before I venture into this, Saturday
1. While app is up and running and you get a phone call, need to text, email ect....... can you do all those things without interfering with the App/ALP and still be running and still protected?
2. And you can shut the ALP down after an alert just by touching the screen correct, upon starting it back up there will be a minute delay, unless you have it on "unlimited" and it will reset immediately after killing jammer.
1. If you are on the phone the ALP will continue running in the background. Many customers even keep Waze on top with the ALP in the background.
2. I am not in a position to check but if I remember correctly you can tap the screen earlier to put defense back on. In a few hours I will check for you and give you a definite answer on that one. I always run unlimited so I have to try with it not being in unlimited.
My plan is to run unlimited anyway--don't like a timer on it haha! thanks for checking :)
Also I'm guessing if the ALP app is in the background--upon an alert it will immediately pop up and show you the alert as well?
Ok what I have found out is say I don't have the ALP APP on top (visable) say I left it in texting app and I get hit with Laser--Yes it does sound but what I would like for it to do is bring the APP to the front immediately so I can touch screen to kill the system? I tried this today and it doesn't do this.
/\ beat me to it.

Just IMO, I have a kill switch and my ALP set to jam and not time out, i prefer it this way because i dont have to fumble with anything and just hit the kill, so if im in the situation above and i cant take my eyes off the road to do this and then that...i just hit the switch and call it a day...
Also I have a lock on my phone so if i start the app and then lock the screen or if the screen times out and it goes dark i can NOT do anything on the phone until i put the code in, so again if im getting hit i dont have to think about or worry about anything other then reach foward and flip the switch
Hmm Ok Ill try again but I did not see any alert window--
Did you go to your notifications on your phone and give permission for the app?
Manual is in the first post of this thread.

Thanks forgot all about that---yes it was all on but the sound and I also changed it from banner to Alert!
I not a ALP expert because I currently do not have one, but when you use your phone to kill, and monitor with your phone it change from jamming to detection mode giving you the addition information of still being a target. You give that up important information with a kill switch. Been following very closely and waiting for release of either hi-fi unit or android unit.
True... I dont use a kill switch and dont feel I have the need. Its just another option if someone wants it. As an Android user I cant wait for the Android App but I went out and bought a used iPhone 4S to use for the ALP Connect. Cost me $150 and its worth it in my opinion but I will switch to the Android version when its available.
Just thinking!
I know the ALP will (I think) alert to any head that may be flaky or whatever! But what about some sort of indication on the ALP APP that tells us what we have front/back as far as heads installed--that way we can look at the app and see 3/2---2/2 or whatever at a fast glance knowing it "sees" all heads and all is ok?
Afaik it does a silent check each time it's started...
New version 1.5 is out in the APP store! I have not tried it yet though
