Was asked not to discuss features until the weekend. App will freeze if you install before the firmware update is out since CPU will not understand some of the commands. Just hold off until the new firmware is released next Tuesday.
hope there will be an option, to have the k/ka id #, switched on or off when in the car setting
ALP Connect new app was submitted to iTunes last week. Waiting patiently for iTunes to post up the latest version. Latest version will require a new firmware update and if using the Radar Integration will require a new setup file be created on the ALP Update site: http://www.alpupdate.com
Here is a breakdown on the newest update. Posted in this thread because many are ALP Connect improvements:
1. STiR M-edition antenna support added. Now can be fully configured on alpupdate web. Multaradar CD detection has a separate distinct alert & sound.
2. Control Set keyboard gained another function, a button double-click. Also Control Set keyboard button long press did not work at moments, issue resolved.
3. Added City Mode filtering of Radar alerts. Two modes, CityYellow indicated by yellow beep and CityRed indicated by red beep. Modes affect Radar K and X band alerts only. Fully user configurable via online alpupdate setup page. Change City Mode on your ALP by a double-click of a Control Set’s Power button. If using ALPConnect - view alerts for filtered radar signals on flashing City/Highway icon.
4. Fog lights ON/OFF now a tri state button ON/STROBE/OFF, indicated by Constant/Flashing/No green light. Will work only with AL sensors with built in fog feature.
5. Added Dim mode option. Yellow Menu 3 now is a multi-choice 1-OFF, 2-DIMMED, 3-DARK. Dimmed mode is similar to Dark mode but after 10 seconds does not turn off LED blinking completely but just reduces LED intensity (external LED is still turned OFF completely).
6. Added K Band segmentation. K1 (23950-24000), K2 (24000-24050), K3 (24050-24100), K4 (24100-24150), K5 (24150-24200), K6 (24200-24250) MHz and a K Wide (23950-24250) MHz choice. Configurable over alpupdate web page. Use segmentation to remove alerts from Vehicle collision radars (usually >24200 MHz) and from nearby radar-detectors (usually <24100 MHz).
7. Privacy KeyLock mode changed. EEPROM has been designated to store KeyLock activation. Now the activation via Key press has to be done only once and will be remembered after power off. The activation will be cleared when hit by a Laser (a Laser alert).
8. Improved signaling of Front/Rear Laser hit, front laser hit going to behind will be properly shown as front arrows are replaced with rear arrows once laser has switched.
9. Added AutoMute for Radar alerts only. If enabled initial Radar alerts start at set volume for 6 seconds and then automatically lower to discrete volume level for the remainder of the alert. When alert finishes next alert is again announced at full set volume.
10. Added support for various ALPConnect features. Writte to USB, System information, Reset to defaults,…
Can you apply the firmware update before the update to the app get's online? I have my apps set to auto update. It would be nice to update the firmware now.

Does ALPconnect currently support 2 separate CPU being connected to it? or will I need a second Iphone.
Also is there any possibility of getting larger radar freq txt on ALPc as I find it impossible to read while concentrating on the road
You can only connect to one CPU at a time. There is a large list of customer requests for future changes to the ALP Connect app. Based on priorities I dont think we will see many changes to the Apple connect app for a little while, The HiFi Module needs to get completed, they have to finish some new algo's for some newer guns and need to get the Android app worked on, etc.
I've noticed that if I have my iPhone connected via the port to the USB input of my car to play music that the volume drops and the alerts do not interrupt the music and come over the cars speakers which, logically I thought it would.
Should it in your opinion and or is there something you think I can check
Is there a way to verify your firmware with b/t module
Have just installed latest App.
Still cannot work out how to perform firmware update?
Seems now I can run music through my iPhone and alert will come through speakers at same time have yet to work out if changing setting will cancel music and just play alert
I tried and music did stop and alert only but the all went mute. Need to check further.
Tried to confirm firmware version etc, which is now an option, but it kept on saying it was reading but never came up with version?
Fantastic work by the guys, excellent App.
Can anyone confirm if having same issue as me?
Firmware is downloaded to USB memory stick using the ALP Update Site: http://www.alpupdates.com - You also create the main setup file from the same site and put on the same memory drive.
Once you update the firmware the features on the app that are hanging will work. They are looking for a response from the firmware but you are running old firmware which does not understand the requests.
Last week when ALP had a customer with an issue right after they updated to the latest firmware they immediately pulled the current update while they investigated the issue to make sure it was not related to the firmware file itself. After the problem was diagnosed and the firmware was clear of any bugs they were supposed to put the new firmware file back up but for some reason it went unloaded in the ALP update site. The issue some have with some ALP Connect features not working is due to the firmware on their ALP not being the current firmware. AntiLaser is aware of the issue and they will put the current firmware file back online today. I apologize for this issue.
Since I was getting Error Code 6 and then Code 4 I called the dealer and they have asked me to send the controller back and they will send a replacement. Not sure if the firmware was the issue, maybe it was

The link you listed above is looking for alpupdates.com, Its plural http://www.alpupdate.com or http://www.alpriorityupdate.com both work.

What's New in Version 1.3
iOS7 upgrade.
Added new sounds.
Minor bugs fixed.
What changes with the Sounds are there WB?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Did the update, same sounds.
Update just fixed a few very minor bugs which is why we did not mention it. Nothing important or we would have made an announcement.
Will there ever be an app for an Android type phone (for those who do not have an iPhone/iPod)? Not sure if this was previously discussed.
Ever since I installed the latest App update, I am having issues with sound from my iPhone.
What happens is my iPhone is connected to my car system via the USB connection. When I turn on the App it firstly stops the audio as if paused. I then have to physically hit the pause button which actually pauses the audio system ie pause actually comes up on the display, I hit pause again, and the music starts. However, the volume of the music is now around half of its normal volume for the position of the volume dial.
Is anyone else having a similar issue since the update? I had no problems before the update.
Thanks guys:happy:
this may help on the menu alp app change the audio output from default to speaker and try that, that fixed a prob with my iphone sound, but was a bit different to ur fault just give it a try
Have done that no difference with either of the two last options. All I can think its a bug in the latest upgrade
May be wait for USA to wake up
Have you tried switching the Audio from DUCK to MIX? Duck means exactly that, it lowers audio volume of a background player so ALPC alerts are heard as louder. MIX should keep the volume as is. Try switching to MIX and then reset the app, phone and your car stereo.
Thanks will give it a try:kiwi-fruit:
Tried it and works fine. However, two things.
1. Why does it mute/pause the media player every time it turns on. I have to hit pause to pause the player, even though it has been paused by the App and then hit the pause button again which physically unpasues the unit and it plays from there.
2. Would not Duck be better programmed to ONLY lower the volume of the media player upon getting an alert? It seems silly to lower the volume of your audio when there is no alert, so mix is a true mix and Duck is a true Duck when you get an alert. hope that makes sense:applause:
