OK.. Setting look OK... You still have no Radar Alerts through? RG Module is on and LED is on?
Are you traveling over 20 km/h when you are testing your Radar? If you have GPS set to ignore alerts under 20 km/h it will not alert you to radar testing unless you turn the GPS off or travel faster than your set speed.
No speed indication on mine now either in (corvette iphone)..too,late to try merc...tomorrow but looks like something is amiss
yep...got the demo now and other revisions but speed indicates 0 always
certainly...no panic
Merc does not show speed either..just tried it
D'oh :)
Radar alerts working fine above set speed
Still no GPS speed display (0 km/h) but laser alerts come up with the correct speed against them and the yellowcar/blue car transition (detect/defense) works fine at set speed, so just speed display non-functional
Haha so we have confirmed radar is fine. Just the GPS is actually doing its job :)

So everything is working correctly but some are not seeing the GPS speed on the screen when driving but all GPS settings are working?

During my drive home last night, Speed was on "0" for the whole ride. Looks like we need a bug fix.
Same here:grey:
Experiencing the same issue. GPS speed shows a constant zero. All software installed properly. Still, I am mightily impressed. I'll take a bug or two if that's the price of innovation. Overall, congrats Tom on a great product.
Just tried the new version--The HFP works ok in my SUV but there is about 1-1.5 second lag alert to Laser, and when its done I have about 5-10 second delay before I get my stereo back on line. I like it alot but it needs to be tweeked so its INSTANT alert. My red line went off about a second or 2 before I had alert on the ALP app to laser.
Not much we can do with HFC, Every car handles it differently. Its nothing ALP Connect can do differently its how the car utilizes it. Some cars switch over instantly and some vehicles have a delay. Some cars switch back to your radio automatically and some make you actually hang up on the connection. Its just another option you can try to find what works best for you and your vehicle.
How do bugs reach the end user?
Or is the final version different from the distributors beta test version? Cause I'm sure you would have picked up that some function didn't work Tom.
Just trying to understand AL quality control system when it come to a final release.
Is there anyway AL could put up previous version of ALPconnect , so jailbreaked users can downgrade if need be
I have previous versions but lets wait until tomorrow to see what is going on and how quick they can push a new version to Apple. There is no protection issue so its not something that will be difficult to deal with if you have to wait a few days to get an update.
I'm glad that its been fixed :)
I will say that my radar alerts have been delayed or intermittent as I discovered yesterday with an encounter. It seem the alerts only last a couple of beeps and then suddenly stop.
I guess I just like having that option of being able to downgrade. I'm sorry I'm just overly paranoid and it very rare that I will drive without my ALP on, and it uncomfortable knowing the GUI is not 100%, I very glad AL have an awesome team that they can resolve bugs quickly :) :).
Short radar alert and displayed speed issue has been corrected and submitted to apple. Check iTunes shortly for the corrected version of ALP Connect.

I fired up my Iphone today in place of the Ipod just to see if I had the Seed reading and I dont as we expected, but one thing else that was missing was the red warning bars that show up when the parking sensor is activated either front/rear, I do get my beeps though? My Ipod touch works perfect, and yes both have same version of ALP connect.
Ran my iphone this morning, although louder than my ipod I still have no parking sensor bars or speed---hopefully this newer update will fix it all.
I have no issue with parking sensor bars on my 4S, iPod & iPad Mini which is why I think you might still have a very old copy of ALP Connect running before they introduced the bars. Try removing the app again and install fresh and not a copy from your cloud. Speed on the other hand was fixed with 1.5 but the parking sensor bars was not an issue.
You know I looked but how do you not get a copy from the cloud? All I see is a download from the cloud??
When you download from the Cloud it usually downloads the version that you have stored which might not be the latest. I am not an apple user but hopefully someone will chime in but I know there is a way when you get an app to choose to download a fresh copy and not use the stored version from your cloud.
