AfterALp Firmware Update- system takes long time to go into defense mode.

Make sure you are using the correct serial number. If you use the wrong serial number the firmware will not update. Also check your file names and make sure they are correct and not being renamed by your computer.

I had this same problem, not with the firmware update, but with a config update - no flashing lights and would not update. To resolve, I let the ALP unit warm up for about a minute before inserting the usb - this worked for me. Hope this helps.

i always remove / save the previous down loads so they are always the new ones in down loads
