As they have moved away from Vitronic (PoliscanSpeed) to Jenoptik, it will be interesting to see if the fixed speed cameras are the radar based MultaRadar SD 580 and TraffiStar SR 590, or the laser based TraffiStar S350 which is similar to Poliscan;

Fortunately ALP already have TraffiStar S350 covered if it goes that way.

I think what I should have said is that they don't appear to be buying anymore fixed Poliscans, as they have given the contract for the new red light, fixed speed and point to point to Jenoptik, so I assume they will be buying radar or lidar based TraffiStars for the new fixed cameras.

P2P are just a big pain , creates frustration bunching the longer the monitoring distance the worse it is, then comes mr LEO waiting for all when they end, to zapp ya :D

3. Approval of apparatus for ascertaining vehicle speed

I heard it was disabled previously but Tom may have gotten it enabled when I barked about it a year ago.

Guess we will find out soon...?

Yes, it is enabled now.

The one in the picture is about 170km away, so a bit of a trip to test.

One of the new steel roadside enclosures nearer me initially looked like it had a Traffistar in it prior to switch on, but now seems to have a poliscan in it now its live (poliscan alert from ALP)
