ALP BT keeps disconnecting from ALPConnect

I have a OnePlus 3T android phone running Android v7 and OxygenOS v4.0.3. I am running ALPConnect v2.2A. I am able to connect but every few minutes it would disconnect/reconnect. I looked all over the BT settings on the OnePlus 3T and theres nothing in there that keeps is always connected.

Try a different phone.

It's the phone or something OnePlus did when upgrading to Android 7.X.X. It works fine on 6.X.X but that's not an option. For this reason, I sold my OnePlus 3t and purchased a Pixel XL.
