App will go through Apple approval over next 2 days, and when Apple approves it an email will be sent to users who we added to the beta-testing list. Once apple approves it you will receive an email from apple and will have go to the link in the email, install beta-flight app in iTunes (link will take you to it), and then our beta-app will be available for testing. If anyone else wants to participate in the Apple Beta test for the new ALP Connect please let me know and we can add you.

I would definitely be in! Do I have to buy the connect adapter or will you be providing one? Also, I run an iPhone on iOS 8.3 which I do not update and also another iPhone which does get updated to current if you want to test different iOS versions.

I just sent you a PM. I will have the NetRadar and new BT adapter installed tomorrow afternoon.

You need to install the Apple TestFlight app from the appstore which requires iOS 8.0 or above.

The old ALPConnect (and probably the new one) runs on iOS 7 and above

I installed everything but I am not getting connected via the BT module. I am going to update the control box one more time and see if that fixes the issue. I had an issue a week ago trying to update the control box firmware (some checksum garbage that I dont remember).

Make sure your BT is wired correctly and that you dont have the wires in the opposite ports. That will prevent you from connecting to BT but the wired controller would work.

The 'checksum failed' message means you need to make a new config.alp file on the alpupdate.com website and upload that, as its required by the new firmware version for all the new options introduced

Where is there a install guide for the new BT module and NetRadar? Im not seeing how I could mess this up but I cant find instructions.. I am feeling a bit functionally retarded atm, so that may be my issue :)

Crap, I thought the V3 module replaced the "other" BT module. I think I have the original BT module. It probably wont work, will it?

There is no new BT module. The V3 refers to the RG3 module needed to connect multiple Net Radar antennas.

Ok, I bought the V2 BT module and it should be here Wed-Thu. I disconnected the control panel to use the BT exclusively for now. I have so many other things Im dealing with that it took me two hours to figure this out. lol

All Beta Testers please update to the latest Beta and we have now I think have a final product ready for release. We have now added more information to notifications and you can also backup your Android Lockout Database and Restore your lockouts on Apple and vise versa. Please test and if you find any bugs please let us know asap.

Thanks,
Tom

Cool. I tested that with Android to iOS and it looks like the process completed successfully, though I haven't tried the lockouts out with the NR yet. :) Thank you for adding this! It's great for those of us who already have Android lockouts.

The whole direction ALP (Tom) is going with this ALP/Net integration is getting better every week..I think it would be choice to have a dedicated optional add on screen like the Stinger has...I find having the app connect reliably whether a hardware or user issue sometimes misses at times and the app tends to interfere with my Spotify. A dedicated panel would be a perfect compliment to the system.

By interfering with Spotify, do you mean the volume in Spotify gets attenuated to a lower volume even when no alerts are being heard from ALP/NR? I find that when I am listening to music on my iPhone 6 using iOS music app, the volume gets lowered during any audible warning or tone but does not return to full volume. The only way to restore my volume is to hit the back arrow in iOS for the song that is playing which restarts the song. All of my other apps, Waze, or Escort Live lower the music volume but return it back to previous state without issue. I find this to be quite annoying.

As for the dedicated screen, that might be nice. I assume you are saying for it to be wired? If all you want is a dedicated BT screen then I feel the response you will get is to have a dedicated phone or tablet :)

We are still looking into the volume restoring issue after alerts play out.

Not sure if this is a issue with the beta or my BT, but I thought I would mention it anyway.

I find on first power up it drops the BT and switches over control set sometimes, cycling the power to the CPU fixes it and it's happy again.

Could be my iPhone or BT but it only happened since the beta

Yes to the first issue...something is slightly off with the BT connectivity..

As for the screen panel a perfect fit would be either hardwire or BT...hardwire for the die hard installer types and BT for the easy place anywhere types

Noticed today that my ALPConnect would disconnect after 30 secs, recycle... stay on for a min or so and do it all over again. I deleted the app and reloaded with same result. This is the first time I have noticed this and it happens to coincide with the official 2.3 release. I will keep an eye on it. Also, when I use the app to modify my ALP sensors (turn them all off) I still get a warning for sensor fails if they are disconnected (and deselected in config). The app doesnt specify which sensors, to find that out I have to listen to the Hi-Fi which told me F1 & F2.

If you were a Beta Tester did you Uninstall the Beta First. Beta was tied to Test Flight and release is not so old version should have been Uninstalled first.

I did that a few times. I have reset to factory defaults since our phone conversation yesterday and it has been working fine.

Was it at close range through glass?

AJ = anti jam.

Often also known as TruSpeed2 (EU) on laser testers etc. Uses repeating VPR pattern

TruCam and non-US TruSpeeds use this repeating VPR pattern. I've been pinged with a TruCam and a TruSpeed in recent weeks, and both show as 'TruSpeed AJ' on ALPConnect logs and announced as 'TruCam or TruSpeed'

yeh Busta was through his front screen very very close range rear shot

I believe they may be using in weather mode which only gives a range of about 70 meters but they are also VPR guns so could be tricky.
