No, It will not work with old iPhones & iPads. The chipset used is only supported by current versions.

When it displays a radar hit will it also tell you what band is present, In the photos it does not show this?
Im guessing I can run all these modules if I choose too, like the BT / Hi-FI / and display module? this way if I dont want to run my phone I still got voice and visula alerts?

There will be several module options available. Once they are all ready I will share all the options and prices. The picture shows Marksman as an example, If it were Radar it would display the information there and the Bar Chart will show the signal strength. I do not have the Bluetooth modules yet but as soon as I do I will take some video's showing all the modules in action.

Is there a reason that ALP has decided to use the Apple platform? or will there be an android version later released, not everyone has an Iphone

Chipset used can also work with Android 4.3 or newer. After the Apple app is going good and any bugs are worked out they will develop an Android version.

Will ALP offer something similar to Valentines ESP protocol, as only good things have come from that 'YaV1'. Giving people a chance to make there own apps for this product would be awesome
A question to BRD,if the BT shows the radar frequency on the Iphone display.

Might not initially but seems like something that would not be too difficult to implement in a future update. Once I get the modules (Hopefully next Friday at the earliest) I will test the crap out of it.

Denis, thank you for particpating here. As one who participated in the testing of a preproduction ALP unit, I was impressed with the unit, but felt that some improvement needed to be made in the performance to match the Laser Interceptor. Just before we tested a production unit with RadarRob and RedRocket, I stated that I thought that ALP wasn't going to preform as well as the Laser Interceptor. During the testing, it was obvoius that Antilaser did thier homework. Performance not only matched but exceeded the Laser Interceptor. One aspect that makes shows me how superior Antilaser is compared to your competition is that I could shoot the ALP with a LIDAR that Antilaser never saw or had before, record it, send it to you, and have get a firmware update in a few hours and the ALP jams the LIDAR better than your competition that had the LIDAR in hand for weeks or longer. You didn't get the oportunity to test your jamming algorithm against the LIDAR, you never even had the LIDAR gun in your hands, but your jammer and algorithm worked better. All the while your competition had the oportunity to test and tweak thier algorithm against the same LIDAR gun(s).
I realize that AntiLaser sells most of thier products outside of the U.S., and that is why you have many modules that appeal to prospective customers throughout the world. I also realize that AntiLaser does not take the cheap way out like other manufacturers do by purchasing less expensive and lower quality components. However, one complaint that I have heard is the higher cost of the ALP compared to its competitors. In the U.S. and on many forums one competing brand has won the respect and loyalty of the masses. Your competitor has brainwashed many that their product can not be out performed. They state that they have the highest power laser diode of any laser jammer. They also state that they frequently release firmware updates. To penetrate the U.S. market, you need to be more competitive with your pricing, and in the U.S. voice alerts must be included in the price of the "base unit." It is too hard a sell at higher price-point.
From an installation standpoint all of the additonal modules can make it more difficult to install. If I have a radar module and a bluetooth module, these are two additonal pieces I need to secure. An all in one solution that one can attach an external speaker to for me is ideal, but I do see the benefits to having separate modules.
A WIFI connection with the iPod/iPad/iPhone/Android or a cellular connection with an iPad/iPhone/Android through which you can access the firmware update, and transmit to the CPU via bluetooth, is a feature I would like to see. I assume that we will be able to concurrently connect our iThings/android via bluetooth to both the ALP CPU as well as our bluetooth enabled car stereo.
For those using the wired controller/piezo speaker, a usb attachment on it to use for updates or as the theft deterrent key would be a nice addition. The USB port could also be used as an output for an externally powered speaker.
Thank you for listening and producing a great laser jammer.
I know the programming of the Alp is all done thru the firmware , but on some
specific functions i would like to use some dip switch , off hand i dont see which
ones specifically ....but here is my grain fo salt.
Antilaser I know you from years ago , do you remember a customer from
Canada ? i was at that time proposing the same idea ...dip switches.

This is misunderstood by many & assumptions have been made which do not relate to reality. The advertizing claim craftily OMITS the operative word that would correctly describe its true operating parameters. In truth, the ad should state as follows - "...the highest rated power laser diode of any laser jammer." "Rated" & "actual operating conditions" have two different meanings & certainly should not be thought of as being equal OR the same thing.
The IR diode output is not producing anywhere near its rated capabilities. All one has to do is observe the intensity of each IR in a video display & to also consider the operating electrical current drawn by each Model:
AntiLaser Priority = 1250 ma.
Competitor 8.9 = 750 ma.
Viewing the IR video output of the "Competitor" also reveals another eye-opening "lack of quality" fact, the photon pattern output is completely speckled throughout w/ far to many weak & dead zone holes I equate to Black Holes that may allow for P/T's in your defense screen.

I agree, Its all a marketing ploy to advertise wattage being more powerful. We are not talking about brute force where more power would be helpful. There is no point is using a higher wattage diode than what is needed to do the job properly. In the past I used to do car audio installations and I could put a good quality amplifier against others that were rated at more than double the power and the lower better quality one would win all the time.

I have tracking and I am watching the package closely... As soon as it clears customs I will open the site to accepting orders. I have had packages stuck in customs for weeks but some clear in a day. I just dont want to accept orders until I know I have a shipping date I can give everyone. I would expect we should be able to ship them on Monday providing no customs issues.

Thanks for your compliments Yellowcab. The Laser recorder has in fact been implemented in G9 product as well ages ago but not nearly as sophisticated as the one in ALP products. With ALP you can record as much data as you like limited only by the size of your USB drive, and can just email it from your PC/smartphone/tablet when convenient.
You are right, all hardware components used in ALPriority products are original brandnames and not alibaba and such site sourcing like some competitor products.
Firmware updates over the iPhone connection are something that we have been looking into for the future. There are some nice features also coming up with the upcoming FW release, more on that soon.
BRD made a good point on Laser diode ratings. You should always look into all the data and not only rated value.

You need at least a Iphone 4S
BestRadarDetectors

You need at least a Iphone 4S
Correct.. You need an apple device that supports Bluetooth 4.0
Based on the specs from apple the iPhone 4 Specs (http://support.apple.com/kb/sp587) show that it only supports Bluetooth 2.1
Specifications on the 4S shows its Bluetooth 4.0
If you have the original 4 it would not be compatible and you can return it for a full refund and purchase it again when you eventually upgrade your phone.

I am planing on upgrading soon so I will keep the order. I have to be honest this is more like a closed beta with the amount phones this thing can actually communicate with.
