I'm new to ALP so just want to know if this is normal or not... when connected to Alpconnect, the buttons on the control pad no longer work. Therefore, even though I have enabled "Menu button short press function" to "Force parking only," it doesn't work. The buttons do nothing, no beeps. If I disconnect from Bluetooth, then pressing the menu button works (beeps and changing to parking only mode).
Is this normal? If so, how does one jtk without disabling bluetooth and pressing the Menu button on control module BEFORE getting alerted via app (for example, when I see a LEO ahead and slow down before being shot/targeted))?
Thanks!
Brian

It's the way it was designed you can't use both the controller and BT at the same time. It switches back and forth. To kill using ALP Connect just tap the screen near the car and it will kill immediately during an alert.

Ok, so there is no way to kill BEFORE alert...dang. Hopefully they will add that to the App in the future.
Thanks!

Doesn't tapping the car on the app screen toggle between modes (PDC/DLI/LID, or just PDC/LID) when it isn't alerting? I thought it did.

No, it only turns parking sensors on/off when the system is not alerting.
