Anyone have any input on the issue?

- System has been working great for months. Went on a cross country last week; updated the firmware and configuration last week before trip. All worked well. Even detected a pro laser 3 from front.

Got in this morning and upon boot up R2 was not recognized. Reinstalled firmware and configuration and did a system default reset. The reset did not recognize R2. In addition, the system is not telling me that R2 is not recognized upon boot up, like it did upon initial boot up this morning. However, placing my hand in front of the sensor does not set off parking sensor, but all others do set off parking sensor.

Possible culprit: Ran through car wash yesterday and then let it set overnight and this morning the car had frost. Possible getting water into R2?

Curious if there is anything else I can do to troubleshoot myself before taking to dealer.

Thanks.

If installed correctly a car wash should have no effect on operation. If system was purchased in the past year the connectors should be the IP67 waterproof connectors and there should be no issues. If it was purchased a while ago the old sensors used Din Connectors and those connectors were not waterproof and they required installation of shrink tubing which we included with each sensor to prevent moisture issues. If you want you can follow the sensor back around 2 feet and you will find the connector and you can check and make sure its a good connection. If all looks good go back to your dealer and have them get the head replaced under warranty.

The system was installed this August 2015; therefore, I assume it was the most updated product. I will take it back to the dealer. Appreciate the feedback.
