The Ultimate USB Thumb Drive but its costly at $34.95 USD. Think there is a need in our markets?

AntiLaser is manufacturing their own SLC USB thumb drives. For those that dont know what an SLC drive is they are industrial grade single-level cell (SLC) USB flash drives that are designed for industrial and military applications and are much more durable and reliable than the consumer grade multi-level cell (MLC) USB flash drives. These industrial grade USB flash memory drives are built to endure severe operating environments such as extreme cold and hot temperatures, continuous vibration, high shock impact, intensive read-write cycles, etc. Such features are essential to industries that require a more robust and rugged digital storage option to ensure repeatable and reliable operation.

These new drives are designed to work in low temperatures, so they are good to use in vehicles in the Winter when regular sticks have issues. They are especially recommended for people who activate USB locks and need stable USB drive connection at all times. As another security feature you will notice in the picture a deep line on the housing, it is made to be a weak spot so if you want to destroy the drive contents it can be snapped on the line and you destroy the memory inside and nobody can retrieve what was stored in it.

Nice! Now they just need to make a USB drive with a bank selection switch on it so you can load multiple setups on it, and switch between them on the fly just by flipping the switch.

There is something else in the works for multiple profiles... You will have to wait for the next update for more information.

Is this out in the market yet? Think it is a great idea but don't know why anyone would need one at about $35 a clip for updating or changing settings on their ALP. Unless, of course, your name is James Bond.

SLC Drives are not cheap.. There is a big difference vs. consumer memory devices. Yes, They are readily available now if someone wanted one.

Lower capacity SLC chips should be cheaper than larger ones, and for the application there's no need for a multiple gigabyte drive. A 64 or 128 MB one would suffice and would probably cost less.

WOW--I was hoping for at least a 32/64G for that price. Does it have a cover or slide back into the plastic, plus it needs a Laser beam or something flashy on it :)

What you see if what you get. On the low end a 1GB SLC Drive would run $25+ so $34.95 with built in self destruct capability puts it in the right price range. Its not for the average person who loads updates once and a while its more for people that use the ALP in banned areas and people that use the Security Keys.
