Just ordered my system and am deciding on HiFi vs. Bluetooth. At BRD's suggestion, I downloaded the demo app and it was able to connect via bluetooth into the sound system in my BMW. I used the HFP mode.

While running the demo, I received a call and was able to answer and connect, but it seemed that the call and the app were fighting and I could not maintain the call.

Is this normal and fixable? Also, I tried tapping the screen to mute the warnings, which it did, but I couldn't seem to unmute it. Does it unmute under normal use depending on LID setting?

I generally listen to satellite radio and on occasion play music on my iPhone via a cable. When a call comes in, the radio mutes and the call takes over. Is there a way to configure the app to just speak over the call like the navigation system does?

I did not notice a difference when the app was set to default or speaker; both came through the iPhone.

I am drawn to the app for the graphics, ease of configuration and one less thing mount in the cabin.

Suggestions/thoughts?

Thanks,

Nicholat

I have both, I like BT because it easier to move phone to were you want it. I like the visual display. I like you can now over time air update with android. It auto power up when you get in car. I like the history that you can display. Now only if I had an deacate phone, I would use it. Yes I like it but end up using the hifii.

It almost like using your phone for GPS and you have turns come up and you talking on the phone.

I would not want to be using the phone when I am getting hit by an LEO.

With the Android app either ALP or Escort Live would lose connectivity when I was on a bluetooth call. As soon as the call ended it would reconnect. I thought it was just my phone though...
