I just got my Al-P system and I will be taking it to a professional installer this weekend. Should I or can I get the USB stick setup now that way when it's all installed I plug in the USB stick and test the system before I leave the installer?

Sure you can download all the files and get the drive ready so that once its installed you are ready but there will be a new firmware update on Monday so if the install will be after the weekend just wait until Monday to do the update only once.
