Hi JBD....Welcome to the Forum....Glad to see you are now officially able to read and respond to posts, as well as to contribute to the Forum. Thanks for a great Custom Installation of the ALP Quad/HiFi/GPS and Beltronics STiR Plus on my SL55 AMG (pictures in Show Off Your Install....Great Install ALP Quad + Beltronics STiR Plus Mercedes SL55 AMG). I'm looking forward to the completion of your Custom Installation of the identical two systems on my E55 AMG which is presently under your expert care.

True, but, depending upon how the SL55 does during testing in August, I may have a third front/center sensor installed. I just don't know exactly where to place it though, without really cutting into parts of the car I do not want to touch. I just checked, and when the Show 'N Go license plate holder is in the UP position (which is rare), there is a two (2) inch space, which contains a black plastic mesh grill, before the bottom of the silver plastic bumper starts. If needed, maybe Joe (JBD) can cut a rectangular hole on the mesh grill for the front/center sensor, as the sensor only needs about one (1) inch of height to be installed. As I said, I'll see what happens during testing. The two systems on both cars would then be identical :) , except for the individual custom interior installations for the Control Modules, as the interiors are quite different in each car. I just returned from an extensive drive over the last couple of days in the SL55. No LIDAR encountered, but the reception of the STiR Plus is so good that when I do get alerts, I am looking and looking and, maybe a mile or two further down the road/highway, I finally see a LEO, usually with CO! The great reception of the STiR Plus notwithstanding though, I will be writing soon about the supposed "Quality Control" of the STiR Plus Interface Module regarding the unsoldered component that was just sitting in its mounting holes, with no solder holding them in place, that caused the intermittent and mostly non-existent speaker audio problems that Joe (JBD) diagnosed and repaired by soldering the component in place. By the way, have you seen the pictures of the interior of the STiR Plus Interface Module, with a "Quality Control" sticker very close to the three empty holes where the unsoldered component should have been secured? The sticker reads "Tested 09/26/14 Passed" !!! Their QA inspectors must be Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles !!!
