Hi

New to forums on the subject but not new to radar and electronic countermeasures from military perspective or detectors in vehicles.

Been in US from Australia now since 2001 and in NYC area since late 2003.

From 2001 to 2013 had a modified A4 with a hardwired Escort 8500 which served me well. Since 2010 had a Subaru Outback with a V1 with Concealed Display.

Just upgraded my old V1 to new version with ESP, V1C and YaV1 and bought another to hardwire into my currently being built 228i XDrive M Sport coupe, which I also plan to put a quad ALPS on. Also looking at the Escort Live! Smartcord Live Direct for Android.
Have also purchased Veil G5 but am up in the air about actually applying it to headlights and/or plates. Planning on putting in dashcams front and back as well as I wish I had some of the things I see on my way to/from Manhattan on film.

Already read and viewed a lot of posts and videos by Mirage, Vortex, RALTEC, Veil Guy and others and really appreciated the experiences.

Cheers

Welcome from the opposite end of NYS! Staties love LTI products: LR-B, TruSpeeds (all versions) and Stalker radar. Not sure about the locals...perhaps someone from downstate can comment.

Thanks. Running YaV1 too and from work today was fun. I went in with no presets and boy was it noisy. So much X band on the upper west side of Manhattan. Loaded one of the presets on the way home and the silence was golden except for a false laser alert from a HID. Running in logging mode to go back and replay the encounter. Forgotten how much fun playing with this stuff is.

It's about both protection and fun. I like your outlook.
