View Full Version : Turn V1 laser detection off?

Seems like every day my Valentine One is turning more into a Volvo Detector, with laser alerts going off daily.

Been reading around about folks running products like AL Priority and the V1, with laser detection off.

I suppose there's no HARM in keeping laser detection turned on, since if the V1 picks up an actual LEO with laser, I'm probably toast anyway without the AL Priority.

Thoughts? Let the AL Priority do it's job?

Way ahead of you! Turned off LIDAR on my V1 ages ago. The laser alert to actual laser hit ratio was horrible and it was just the Infiniti/Volvo noise.

Using your ALP's for laser is a ton better.

ALPs are your only real laser protection, so I'd argue if you're getting too many V1 falses just turn it off. You don't want the constant V1 alerts to distract or make you complacent from a real laser hit.

Thanks for validating my gut on this. Laser (setting 4 on the V1) is now off for me.

+1 laser off

Also, turn Poliscan off if they don't have them where you live.

With this combo I have stopped experiencing laser falses.

First day of running with Laser off on the V1. It was so QUIET. :thumbs2:
