First morning commute with the new 5.1.1 firmware. Dual front setup. (Dual rear installed, not connected. Waiting on extender cords to arrive.)
Was pointing directly at the sun and got a series of double beeps with the red LED. Happened on and off as I kept facing the sun. It was early morning so the sun was just over the horizon, right in my eyes.
This stopped later after I turned away from the sun.
Question 1: Sun interference?
Question 2: I don't have HiFi. I noticed the volume of the beeps wasn't at the Laser alert volume I set (5) but rather the master (2). Is that normal? I'm guessing this is an error message, not a full alert.

The Goal was to change the alerts for the sensor interference error and when all sensors on one side have interference it will give you a less alarming beeps instead of setting off the alarming full blast Error 2 message to let you know that the units receivers are being compromised. I have not experienced the scenario yet to confirm exactly what it now does but I will find out shortly.

Oh, I very much like the "not full alert" volume of the error. I just wanted to make sure that was the intended behavior. GOOD to know!
Does this sound like what I see around here as "Error 2"?

Yes.... Two Beeps would be the Error 2 code which is used for sensor interference.

Seriously, thank you... The level of support I get from this forum and the ALP users is astounding. Can't wait to get the rest of my ALP gear up and running.
