Its really a great little tester and fits in your pocket nicely. Pretty much the same size as my cars keyfob.

Nice. :) I have most of those in my homemade tester.
Mine currently has: Marksman/Ultralyte, Ultralyte 100pps, PL1, PL2/Laser Atlanta, PL3/4, Laser Atlanta Stealth Mode, Laveg, Riegl, NJL SCS 102, Truspeed, Truspeed S, Laser Ally (ECCM ON and OFF), Stalker LZ1 and Stalker XLR VPR mode. I can add more if I know the pulse rate (fixed) or have a capture file (VPR). It has a 0.25 microsecond resolution and enough memory for a few more VPR patterns.

How do you control which of the 9 guns it emulates? On the LI tester, there are 5 buttons for 5 different pulse patterns.

Press the bottom button the number of times for the item you want... So for example press the bottom button 6x and then press the fire button (Top Button) and it will fire a Pro Laser 3.

What kind of range will it have, This tester is just to make sure the ALP is seeing all the guns and responding correctly?
And what kind of $$$ we talking

Specifications called for 30m but probably less. The price will be listed at $49.95. Its more of a novelty then a real gun but it works to verify your equipment is installed and responding to gun ID's properly. Heck I can take a compact put in a case, close it while aiming at an opposite wall and fire it and the ALP will go off, The testers need to be pointed directly at the heads.

Do you know what type of battery/ies it uses? Probably a lithium coin like a CR2032? Just curious.

How did you make it? I just like tinkering with things and wouldnt mind making my own to cure boredom haha
I found this instructable

I used an 8 bit 32 MHz PIC micro and a few parts, built it on a perfboard.
That Instructables link you posted is a good way to make your own as it includes the Arduino code and everything. It just isn't as compact as mine. :)
