I have my new ALP installed and I bought the GPS and the Radar/GPS Module so I can have the laser defense not work under 31 MPH. when I connect the GPS through the Radar/GPS Module I received an error. I then connected the GPS to the GPS port on the ALP control box and it seemed to work except the LED is not the correct color for laser defense ( it looks like yellow / red ) and the laser defense still worked while sitting in my driveway. Do I need the Radar/GPS Module for the GPS to work and if so what color should the LED be when it is connected. Also why does the laser defense still activate when sitting still.
I do have the setting correct,
GPS = Yes
Define PDC SPEED limit = 31
Define LID SPEED limit = 31

On new CPU's you only need the RG Module if you are also using the Radar Integration. If you are using the Radar Integration the RG Module needs to be connected to the Add-In Port. With the GPS Settings you have the LED will change color when you are over your set speed limit. Under the set limit the unit will not go into defense mode.

Ok, thanks for the answer. I will test it out tomorrow.
