So recently since ive gotten the hifi i have been hit about 4 times real world, and the hifi says, "speed sensitive laser ahead" or something like that. When i run the reports the count for "stalker" goes up but whats weird is:
1) lidar doesnt look like a stalker at all
2) i figure the hifi would say "stalker" like it does for the other guns but it gives that generic error instead. Any ideas as to what gun it is? I have a setup file saved immediately after the last 2 hits. It's definitely not a binocular type lens lidar, possibly an old marskman or pl2? I spoke to other members with lidars in the area and they have no idea as well.

You need to go into settings and change it from simple to detailed.

You probably ran a factory reset when you installed the new sensor and that would have reset that setting.

It was switched to detailed, and i got tagged last night again around 11:30pm (the last 4 stalker hits were all the same code). Today i tested with the prolite & true speed and the hifi worked perfectly as gun id was successful each time, even shooting in the opposite direction as the sensors! (i havent updated the firmware since a few days ago). I also didnt do a factory reset as it read the new sensor immediately when i went to, "connected sensors." I jtg/jfg the true speed and jfg the prolite. (1500ft stretch) today.
this lidar has me baffled!

Hmmm, first I've heard of this. Maybe next time you can slowdown a lil' & see if you can get a better visual on it. So it sounds like you're saying it's an 'Over-Under' arrangement of the lenses...try to note the color of the body & if there are any other distinguishing features or standout color stripes on it.

I'll definitely try to take a better look next time

I got a better look at it tonight and i did notice the binocular lens structure. It may be the XLR, but again, the Hifi gun id said "error sensitive speed laser ahead" and not stalker (stats file confirm it was a stalker). Another member at rdf also got tagged in the same area with an LI on video and it was id'd as stalker. ive tested my setup and its correctly id'd the prolaser, prolite, and true speed and performed extremely well.
if this could be tested/confirmed/patched it would awesome.

There's a thread on RDF where someone is having the same issue. The Stalker XLR is recorded in the stats but the HiFi announces it as "speed-sensitive laser". It appears to be an issue with the HiFi module, or the CPU firmware isn't sending the correct gun ID to the HiFi.
That said, the Bluetooth module/app reports the Stalker XLR correctly, as I tried it on my tester when I was testing with FatLazyDog last week.

I just shot the XLR at my car it it's now reporting "error sensitive speed laser ahead" the prior firmware announced the gun as "Stalker" so maybe they changed the voice file mapping in 4.5.4?

I heard that too at times on the Stalker when we tested this weekend. Most of the time it was reporting Stalker though.

Will check tonight... They did change the setting options on the setup file for a new update coming out later this week. I will find out and let you know.

OK... Just tested you are both correct. 4.54 was stating "Speed Sensitive Laser" and the new Beta coming out this week is stating "Stalker"
So once we release the firmware by the end of the week you will all be back to "Stallker". ALP Connect was "Stalker" but does Display "Stalker XLR"

i also wanted to add that this caused no real world issues, as 3/4 times i picked up scatter before i was targeted or even saw the leo (V1 stayed silent) and it was accurately counted in my stats file as stalker so the ALPs were effective.
