I Just purchased an AL Priority cpu and 2 normal laser heads last week from alpriorityusa.com. After installation, when I turn on the unit when I am close to a wall, I get the following:

does this happen to anyone else?

things to note:

I have updated to the latest firmware and control module firmware
I have updated done a factory reset with the 2 heads connected, after that, I ran setup to configure the parking sensors to OFF.
When I turn the unit on, this happens every time the car is facing a wall. The 2 heads are mounted in front.
My valentine one detects constant laser signals when this beeping happens.
I have checked the connections and they look fine.

Strangely, when I am NOT facing a wall and I turn the unit on, it turns on just fine and the LED light becomes blue.
However, when I run the manual sensor check, I get the same result as in the video.

The ALP has a full time parking sensor. You are activating it by facing the wall with the heads.

My ALPs make a different beeping sound when the parking sensors are going off. It's not a double beep but a single. Perhaps that has changed recently as I disabled the parking sensor alerts

I have spoken to this customer and his ALP's were alerting to interference detected. Double Beep at Startup error. When he backs away the ALP will start normally and the ALP self test will pass with no errors.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6P8F3Y2x5UI see you're a fairly new user & wanted to let you know that there is a wealth of info here on the Forum already. The issue you encountered has been noted by experienced members previously. Here's the Thread describing what you were experiencing:

www.radarandlaserforum.com/showthread.php/4640-quot-Error-2-quot

As a new AL-P owner I would recommend spending a lil' time reviewing some of the threads here in the AntiLaser section to better familiarize yourself w/ operational characteristics some members have experienced... I.D.'d & resolved.

Look forward to your participation here.
