Long time RD and laser shifter user - doubt many of you will recognise it:D Still running a Passport SRX that I installed back in 2002. Sucker still runs - range has dropped off a bit, and it does a random alert freakout every few months require a power cycle but over all it has held up well. Guess I should check to see if Escort will do a tune-up...:D
I've been lurking the scene a few days and trying to decide between a ALP/redline/live combo, ALP plus sti head, 9500ci (would lose some laser coverage), or just get a redline and not worry about laser for now (almost all k and ka around here)

If you want the best of both custom installed units get the ALP + Full Sti-R Plus. Its hard to beat that Combo. PM me for a package deal.

Welcome from another Easterner. Lurking is good, joining is better. Participating is best.

Welcome to the forum. The SRX was a great detector for its time. Currently the best installed RD is the Beltronics STiR+. The Escort Redline although it is less expensive than the STiR+ does have better range. I am not a fan of Escort LIVE. As far as laser Jammers forget Escort. They have the option to offer a firmware update to cover a couple of LIdars, but hasn't The only jammer to consider is the AL Priority.

Yea what's up with that was it forgotten in the contract I'm sure escort just pushes down what LI sends them. I mean come on they should be screaming at LI for updates.

From what I have been told LI has either offered it to them or has already given it to them.

Welcome to the forum. Nice that the SRX is still hanging in there. If going new then definitely NOT the 9500ci for a few reasons.

Thats crazy. Maybe they don't have a guy right now that can code the firmware for the LSP with their recent ownership changes.
I just need to decide if getting an ALP is worth it for the occasional trip out of my AO - around here it is all K and Ka, so either the Redline or StiR+ would work well in that regard.

Lidar guns are getting cheaper for PDs so there's that to consider. Also if you travel even only once a year, one ticket can pay for an ALP. Just be sure to use Waze if you decide to wait on lidar defense, well use it either way.Once the Veil G5 is tested thoroughly, that may be another partial option.

Laser Interceptor has the firmware. It is just up to Escort to release it.
